Question:
Birju walks 8 km towards North, then takes a turn of 450 in clockwise direction and walks 5\(\sqrt{2}\) km. Then he takes another a turn of 450 in anticlockwise direction and walks 8 km and then turns East and walks 10 km. Finally, he turns right and walks 13 km. How far and in which direction is he from the starting point?
Options:
A) 17 km, North-east
B) 17 km, South-east
C) 20 km, South-east 
D) 20 km, North-east
Solution:
Ans: (a)

The movement of Birju is as follows:


= OP =\(\sqrt[]{8^2+(10+5)^2} \ \ \ \ = \ \ \sqrt[]{289}\)  = 17 km in  the north-east directions.

yes but root ans is wrong with that value your ans figure is wrong

Its correct because it has been calculated.

sin45=5/x

1/root2 = 5/x

x=5root2
