you have taken A's price 80 then B's price 100 but in question B's price is less than 20 % from A.

Question:

A sells his articles to B in less than 20% and sells to C more than 20%. A man bought some article at Rs. 9,600 from A. If he bought half articles from B and half articles from C, is his business profitable to him and how?

According to question.
Let the price of article is 100
sell to B = 80
sell to C = 120
a person buy some article at Rs.9600 from A
articles = 9600 / 100
= 96
Now, half article from B = 48 x 80 = 3840
half article from C = 48 x 120 = 5760
Total cost is (3840 + 5760) = 9600
Hence, no profit, no loss
