-(y+960)+x=3060
-y+x=4020 .....and not 4120
that will change the answer.
amount given in the que should be 3160 Rs.only then your given answer can be reached.

Question:

Jagandeep has two motor cycles and one bicycle. The bicycle is worth Rr.960. If he sells the bicycle alongwith the first motorcycle, he has an amount double that of the value of the second motor cycle. But if he decides to sell the bicycle with second motorcycle, the amount received would be less than the value of first motorcycle by Rs.3060. What is the ratio of the values of motorcycles?

all cal is wrong how can be 2*5080-960 will be 9000 it should be 9200 ....
