A square is inscribed in a quarter circle such that to corners are on radius of circle and two on circumference. If diagonal of square is $3 \sqrt{2}$ cm then find radius of quarter circle-

Options:

3 cm

$3 \sqrt{2}$ cm

$6 \sqrt{2}$ cm

$2 \sqrt{3}$ cm

Solution:

$\begin{matrix} O C - O D = \frac{x}{2} \Rightarrow C D = \sqrt{{(\frac{r}{2})}^{2} + {(\frac{r}{2})}^{2}} = \frac{r}{\sqrt{2}} \\ C D = 3 = \frac{r}{\sqrt{2}} \Rightarrow r = 3 \sqrt{2} \end{matrix}$
