5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47,49
So answer should be 46-14=32

Total no. of Primes is 11.
So correct answer will be 46-11=35

Composite numbers are those which have 3 or more factors:

There are 15 prime numbers less than 50 , which are: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47 Therefore there are 48 − 15 = 33 composite numbers between 1 and 50 .
