Question:

In the first 10 over of a cricket game, the run rate was only 6.4. The run rate in the remaining 40 overs to reach the target of 282 runs is  –

Options:
A)

6.4

B)

7.4

C)

D)

5.4

Solution:

Ans: (b)

For the 1st 10 overs the score will be 10 × 6.4=64

so the remaining score is 282 - 64=218
remaining overs = 40
so the run rate  218/40=5.45
= 5.45
