He was offered the job but he refused.

Options:
A)

He refused the job.

B)

He refused the job that was offered to him.

C)

The job were offered to him but he refused.

D)

The job was offered to him but he refused.

Solution:

Ans: (D) In option (A) and (B) incorrect subject is used and in option (C) incorrect helping verb is used. So, option (D) is the correct answer.
