Number of bricks in 10 cum = 10/(0.2*0.1*0.1) = 5000

Actual volume of bricks = 5000*0.19*0.09*0.09 = 7.695 cum

volume of mortar = 10 - 7.695 = 2.305 cum

Increase by 20% for wastage = 1.2*2.305 = 2.766

cement required = (1*2.766)/7 = 0.39514 cum

when wastage is not considered = 2.305/7 = 0.329 cum

Question:

The volume of the cement required for 10 m3 of brickwork in 1: 6 cement mortar is approximately equal to ______.
