Wrong answer (Question: 336935.0 )

On solving the question we get the value as 0 and 2. But how come 2 be the answer? Both sin^2x and cos^2x are

Question:

If sin8 x + cos8 x – 1 = 0 where x ≠ 0 or  π2   , then what is the value of sin2 x cos2 x?

B)

0

C)

D)

Answer is right,
Try solving it from here,
sin^2x+cos^2x=1
squaring both side,
sin4x + cos4x + 2sin2xcos2x =1
sin4x + cos4x = 1-2sin2xcos2x
again squaring both side
sin8x+cos8x+2cos4xsin4x=1+4sin4xcos4x-4son2xcos2x
put sin8x+cos8x=1,
then answer will be 2
