Tungsten inert gas arc welding is used for welding Aluminium,Magnesium etc and many other metals which are highly reactive at room temperature.

TIG is non consumable type of welding ,that is it uses a filler rod for filling the material into the cavity as well as a Tungsten electrode for welding.
