Find the measures of an angle which is complement of 50°.

A) 40°
B) 30°

Solution:

Let the measure of angle = x°

measure of its complement = 50°

∴ x°+50°= 90° ⇒ x° = 40°

The given answer is correct.
40 and 50 degrees are compliment of each other .
Therefore angle which is compliment of 50 degree is 40 degree.
