wrong answer (Question: 277537.0 )

what trickery is this... C leaves 6 days before completion... The answer is entirely wrong.
a = x days worked , b= 8 days , c= x-6 days
eqn = 6x + 8*3 +2(x-6) = 96
=> x= 10.5 days

Question:

A, B and C can do a work separately in 16, 32 and 48 days respectively. They started the work together but B leaving off 8 days and C leaving off 6 days before completion of the work. In what time is the work finished?

Options:
A)

14 days

B)

10 days

C)

12 days

D)

9 days

its correct ...suppose b and c won't leave and the work is done in n days
assume total work = 96
a=6 b=3 c=2
one day = 11 work
11n - (8*3)- ( 2*6) = 96
n = 12
