wrong answer (Question: 257470.18 )

the question sentence is in past continuous. but because it has a time period it will be in perfect continuous form. now though there can be confusion about whether present PC or past PC. but the sentence will be improved to past prefect continuous because the question sentence is in past form. the tense cannot be changed from past to present.
