correct answer is 7 days
oneday/unit
A----10 A=6
B-----12 LCM=60 B=5
C-----15 C =4
Let whole work complete in 'd' days
60=6(d-5)+5(d-3)+4d
60=15d-45
105/15
d=7 Ans.

Question:
A, B and C complete a work in 10, 12 and 15 days respectively. They started the work together. But A leaves the work before 5 days of its completion. B also leaves the work 2 days after A leaves. In how many days will the work completed ?
Options:
A) 4 days
B) 6\(\cfrac{2}{3}\) days
C) 7 days
D) 8 days
Solution:
Ans: (c)

C is work alone for 3 days = 4 × 3 = 12

Remaining work = 60 - 12 = 48

B + C is work for 2 days = 9 × 2 = 18

Remaining work = 48 - 18 = 30

A + B + C are finished the remaining work for = 30/15 = 2 days

Total days = 3 + 2 + 2 = 7 days

B leaves 2 days after A leaves, that is total 3 days, so B left 2 days before completion of work.
So it will be 60=6(d-5)+5(d-2)+4d
