ANSWER SHOULD BE 15, AS CLEARLY MENTIONED C IS FOURTH TO THE LEFT IT MEANS THERE ARE 3 MEN BW B AND C.

Question:
In a row of forty children, A is thirteenth from the left end and B is ninth from the right end. How many children are there between A and C if C is fourth to the left of B?
Options:
A) 12
B) 13
C) 14
D) 15
Solution:
Ans: (c) 


Total number of students between A and C 

40 – (13 + 9 + 4)

= 14

There are Total number of student is 40.
Position of C th to the left means 9+4=13 from right.
The number of children to the left of C = 40-13=27 thus C is 28th from the left.
Number of children between A and C = 28-13-1(because A repeated)= 14
