answer is 14.

Question:
In a row of forty children, A is thirteenth from the left end and B is ninth from the right end. How many children are there between A and C if C is fourth to the left of B?
Options:
A) 12
B) 13
C) 14
D) 15
Solution:
Ans: (c) 


Total number of students between A and C 

40 – (13 + 9 + 4)

= 14

Dear student,

Given answer is correct.
If B is ninth from the right and C is forth from the thus C is 13th from the right end , thus
Number of children to the left of C= 40-13=27
position of C with respect to left = 27+1=28
and C is 28 th from the left and A is 13th from the left.
Number of children between A and C= (28-13) -1 (Because A repeated)= 14.

which is wrong. answer will be 15
