The value of sin (45º + \(\theta\)) – (cos 45º– \(\theta\)) is equal to –

A) 2 cos \(\theta\)

Solution:
Ans: (d)

sin (45º+ \(\theta\)) – cos (45º– \(\theta\)) 

= sin (45º+ \(\theta\)) – cos (90º– (45º+ \(\theta\))) 

= sin (45º+ \(\theta\)) – sin (45º+\(\theta\))

= 0

Given answer is correct...

see:

sin (45º+ θ) – cos (45º– θ)

= sin (45º+ θ) – cos (90º– (45º+ θ))

= sin (45º+ θ) – sin (45º+θ)

= 0
