If a = 23 and b = – 29, then the value of 25a2 + 40ab + 16b2 is  –

Solution:
Ans: (a) 25a2 + 40ab +16b2 = (5a +4b)2

= (5 × 23 – 4 × 29)2  

= (115 – 116)2

= 1
