by direct soln
200/(10-6)*100=5000

Question:
A man sells a plot of land at 6% profit. If he had sold it at 10% profit, he would have received \(\unicode{x20B9} \)200 more. What is the selling price of the land?
Options:
A) \(\unicode{x20B9} \)5000
B) \(\unicode{x20B9} \)5300
C) \(\unicode{x20B9} \)4800
D) \(\unicode{x20B9} \)5500
Solution:
Ans: (b)

According to question;

6% + 200 = 10%

\(\Rightarrow\) Cost price = 100% = 50 \(\times\) 100 = 5000

\(\therefore\) Selling Price = 5000 + 5000 \(\times\) \(\cfrac{6}{100}\)

= 5300
