correct your self

Question:

A does half as much work as B in \(\cfrac{3}{4}\) of the time. If together they take 18 days to complete the work, then how much time shall B alone take to do it?

Options:
A) 30 days
B) 40 days
C) 45 days
D) 50 days
Solution:
Ans: (a)

Let B can complete the whole work in x days.

Thus, A will complete the whole work in \(\cfrac{3}{2}\)x days.

A.T.Q.,

Dear Student,
Please refer the below soltuion,
As work effeciency is inversly proportional to time.
Work of A / Work of B = Time of B / Time of A
Work of A / Work of B = 1 / 1.5 = 2/3
So, if A does 2 parts, B does 3 parts. Together they complete 5 parts in 1 day.
As they take 18 days to complete the work together, so,
TOTAL WORK = 90 parts

Time of B = Total Work / Work of B
= 90 / 3
= 30 days

Thanks and Regards

a does half work in 3/4 time so in that time it would do half * 4//3 , similarly b in that time does 2 work , so then calculate
