If  sec⁡ q+tan⁡ q=53   , then what is the value of tan q ?

Solution:

Ans: (c)

(secq+tenq)=5/3-----(1)

Sec^2q− ten ^2q=1

 (sec q− ten q) (secq+tenq)=1

(sec q− ten q).5/3 =1

(sec q− tenq). =3/5-----(2)

Subtract equation (1) and (2)

2 ten q=5/3-3/5

2 ten q= 25-9/15

ten q= (16/15)*2

ten q= (8/15)
