a^3-1=(a-1)(a^2+a+1)
we have given a^2+a+1=0
so a=1
Ans is : 1+1+1=3

Question:
If a2 + a + 1 = 0 then, find the value of a5 + a4 + 1.
Options:
A) 3
B) 5
C) 0
D) 2

since a is not given as real a^3 = 1 will not mean a=1 only. ''a'' can have complex values. So the given answer is correct.
