B's investment is 2500 instead of 15000

Question:
A,B, and C invested in common business. A invested Rs.10000 for 3 month, B invested Rs.15000 for 4 month and C invested Rs.12000 for 5 month. Out of a profit of Rs.1020, A's share is :

Options:
A) Rs. 204
B) Rs. 408
C) Rs. 612
D) Rs. 816
Solution:
A's investment = Rs 10000\(\times\)3 = 30000

B's investment = Rs 15000\(\times\)4 = 60000

C's investment = Rs 12000\(\times\)5 = 60000

Ratio of investment = 30000:60000:60000

        = 1:2:2

A's Share  = \(\cfrac{1}{1+2+2}\times1020\)

                 = \(\cfrac{1}{5}\times1020\)

                 = Rs 204
