why taking 45 instead of 135 degree (Question: 189644.0 )

at last step

Question:
A started from a place and walked 15 km towards north, then turned 90° to his right and walked another 15 km. Then he turned 45º to his right and walked 12 kms and turned 135º to his left. What is his direction now?
