why not proven ?

Question:

In the following question, some part of the sentence may have errors. Find out which part of the sentence has an error and select the appropriate option. If a sentence is free from error, select “No Error”.

(A)None can deny that / (B) every scientific invention has proved to be / (C) more harmful to humanity than beneficial. / (D) No error

Options:
A)

 (A)

B)

 (B)

C)

 (C)

D)

 (D)

Solution:

There is a difference between 'none' and 'no one'. The former is more in the sense of 'none of them', whereas 'no one' means 'nobody in the world'. Thus, 'none' should be replaced with 'no one'.
