"I should take"?

Question:

Direction: Some part of the sentences have errors and some are correct. Find out which part of a sentence has an error and select the appropriate option. If a sentence is free from error, select ‘No Error’.

She recommended me that I take a few days off from work.

She recommended me

that I take a few days

Solution:

Ans: (a) Omit ‘me’ after ‘recommended’. Use of subjunctive in this example

He recommended the museum to me.

or

He recommended that I should go to the museum.

It's the same with suggested.

Wrong ------> He suggested me that restaurant. <------Wrong

He suggested that restaurant to me.

He suggested that I should go to that restaurant.

"I recommended that" takes subjunctive mood is what I read somewhere. Hence should take can't be used. Not sure though. But we can say " She recommended to me that I should take a few days off work"
