why not directly (Question:12547.2)

i think that here we need an adverb after verb 'went' rather than adjective....so "directly"seems appropriate here....

Question:

Solution:
Ans (b)

Directly should be replaced by ' Direct' . 'Directly' is an adverb and 'direct' is adjective.
