Why is it not 6 days? (Question: 186265.0 )

total no. of a unit= 24

so, For A, per day units= 24/12=2 as [12= no. of days]

and B=2A
so For B, per day unit= 2x2 = 4 .

So, B total no. days= 24/4= 6 days.

Question:
A can do a piece of work in 12 days. B is 50% more efficient than A. In how may days will B finish the same work ?  
Options:
A) 6 days
B) 8 days
C) 12 days
D) 24 days

8 is correct

effiency A:B = 1: 3/2
= 2:3

time = 1/efficiency
time ratio = 3:2

A takes 12 days i.e 3=12 or 1= 4
so B takes 2*4 = 8 days
