where have you taken the static costs into consideration (Question:65642.0)

there are partly some static costs were mentioned.

Question:
The expenses of an hostel are partly Constant and partly vary as the number of boys. The expenses were Rs.20,000 for 300 boys and Rs.16,800 for 200 boys. What will the expenses be when there are 650 boys?
Options:
A) Rs.40,000
B) Rs.45,560
C) Rs.47,840
D) Rs.50,000
Solution:
Ans: (c) Total number of boys = 300 + 200 = 500

Total expenses = 20,000 + 16,800 = 36,800

Now expenses of 650 boys

= \(\cfrac{36800}{500}\) × 650

= Rs. 47,840.
