What about this one (Question: 113251.0 )

As we know their efficiency ratio is 4:3 so
Time for 7m to do the work= 43*3/7
Similarly time for 5w to do the work = 43*4/5
Take LCM that is 43*3*4 I.e. total work and by dividing this by above two we can get their efficiency I.e. for 7m it is 28 and for 5w it is 15 divide total work with total EFF. 43 we get 12
Ps- it looks big but its the time efficient method .

Question:

If 3 men or 4 women can reap a field in 43 days. How long will 7 men and 5 women take to reap it?

Options:
A) 12
B) 11
C) 10
D) 9
Solution:
Ans: (a)


3 men or 4 women can reap the field in 43 days.

3 men = 4 women.

1 man = 4/3 women.

7 man = 28/3 women.

7 men and 5 women = 5 + (28/3) = 43/3 women.

4 women can reap field in 43 days.

So, 

1 women can reap in = 43 *4 days. 

Hence, 

43/3 women can reap = (43*4 *3) /43 = 12 days.
