What is the meaning of man crossing a bus(speed =0)and some other bus crossing a pole .so u want us to assume the length of a bus and a pole same.

Question:

A man crosses a stationary bus in 18 seconds. The same bus crosses a pole in 4 seconds. What is the respective ratio between the speed of the bus and the speed of the man?  

Options:
A)

9 : 2

B)

9 : 4

C)

18 : 5

D)

first of all this is not the 'other' bus, it's the same bus in both situations and for both situations the distance covered is equal to the length of the bus (man & pole have no length). So there is no need to assume the length because it doesn't even matter, the ratio doesn't depend on the length of the bus.
