what a confusing question... (Question: 263844.0 )

in the question it was asked that what is the 40% of that number? but all the options are wrong.and the given solution is also wrong as here "x" is the whole number.

Question:
A number becomes 80% of itself after reducing 27 from it. Find 40% of that number.
