The height of an isosceles trapezoid ABDC is 12 units. The length of diagonal AD is 15 units. What is the area of trapezoid ABDC?

Read the solution carefully and try again.
In the solution we apply pythagoras theorem on Triangle ADE we get ED= 9 unit. and given trapezoid is Isosceles, thus CE and FD have same length.
