verb 'occur' indicates "problems"
so it should be plural "occur"

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In below questions some part of the sentences have errors and some are correct. Find out which part of a sentence has an error and select the appropriate option. If a sentence is free from error, select ‘No Error’.

One of the problems that occurs as a result of coal mining is the increasing incidence of lung cancer.

Options:
A) One of the problems that
B) occurs as a result of coal mining
C) is the increasing incidence of lung cancer.
D) No error
Solution:
Ans: (b) The pronoun has the same number as its antecedent, which is ‘problems’. Since ‘problems’ is plural, ‘that’ is also plural, and so the verb associated with it must agree with ‘problems’. Problems occur. So, the correct usage is “one of the problems that occur”
