trouble seeing questions (Question: 195713.0 )

the questions / answers are not coming correctly as the symbols of division,sqrt root are coming in coded form......pls resolve issue immediately

Question:
If x * y = x + y + xy + \(\cfrac{x}{y}\), then the value of 9*3 is – 
Options:
A) 40
B) 42
C) 36
D) 44
Solution:
Ans: (b) 9*3= 9 + 3 + 9 × 3 + \(\cfrac{9}{3}\)

9*3= 12 + 27 + 3

9*3= 42
