The numbers 2272 and 875 are divided by a 3-digit number X giving the same remainders. The sum of digits of X is –

Solution:

Ans: (b)

Let the remainder is R.

(2272 – R), (875 – R)

So, (2272 – R – 875 + R)

= 1397 = 11 × 127

Three digit number = 127

Sum = 1 + 2 + 7 = 10
