If 217x + 131y = 913; 131x + 217y = 827. Find the value of (x – y).

Dear Student
The solution is correct,
First add two equations
i..e 348x+348y=1740
x+y=5..............(1)
Now multiplying equation 1 with 217 on both the sides
i.e. 217x+217y=1085..............(2)
Now subtracting eq2 with 217x+131y=913
i.e 86y=17
y=2
x=3
thus x-y=1
