the verb in the sentences that start with I with my family....or I along with my family agrees with the first subject; so resides is correct...kindly clear my doubt...

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the following questions, some of the sentence have errors and some have none. Find out which part of a sentence has an error.
I with my family which consists of (a)/my wife and three children resides (b)/in a village near Poona. (c)/No error (d).
Options:
A) a
B) b
C) c
D) d
Solution:
Ans: (b)
"Reside" will be used in place of "resides" as " I " is the subject of the sentence.
When two subject are joined with 'as well as, along with, with etc then the verb will be according to the first subject.
