Question:
DIRECTIONS: Out of the four alternatives, choose the one which can be substituted for the given words/sentences.
A fault that may be forgiven –
Options:
A) Mercenary
B) Venial
C) Pardonable
Solution:
Ans:(b) Venial is the right answer. Venial means a minor fault which can be easrily excused. While pardonable and venial both are synonymous to each other, venial is used for an offence easily forgiven. So (B) is right.
