There is no word as sports ... only sport is legit word

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Some part of the sentences have errors and some are correct. Find out which part of a sentence has an error and blacken the oval [.]  corresponding to the appropriate letter (A), (B), (C) and (D). If a sentence is free from error, blacken the oval corresponding to 'No error' in the Answer Sheet.
The brilliant success in the examination as well as his record in sports deserves  high praise.

Solution:
Ans: (c) No Error. The sentence is correct. A sentence using the conjunction 'as well as' takes a singular verb.
