Soda ke jagah milk kaha se aa gaya

Question:
On an average, two litres of soda and one litre of water are needed to be mixed to make 1 Kg of Roohafza of type X, and 3 litres of soda and 2 litres of water are needed to be mixed to make 1 Kg of Roohafza of type Y. How many kilograms of type Y of Roohafza was manufactured if it is known that 130 litres of soda and 80 litres of water were used?
Options:
A) 20 Kg
B) 30 Kg
C) 15 Kg
D) 40 Kg
Solution:

Ans: (b)

For type ‘X’,milk : water

1 Kg =  2    :    1

Let ‘A’ Kg of quantity will be made from 130 l of

Soda and 80 l water

For ‘X’,milk :  water

‘A’ Kg = 2A   :  A

Similarly, For ‘Y’, Let B Kg of quantity will be made

milk :  water

‘B’ Kg = 3B   :  2B

Totalmilk = 130 = 2A + 3B.... (i)

Water = 80 = A + 2B .... (ii)

After solving equation (i) and (ii)

A = 20 Kg, B = 30 Kg
