some mistake might be there (Question: 191196.0 )

Number of triangles in a regular polygon of n sides is (n-2).
Therefore a hexagon will have 4 triangles

Question:

The area of a regular hexagon of side 2a is –

Options:
A) 3\(\sqrt{3}\) a2
B) 6a2
C) 6 \(\sqrt{3}\)a2
D) \(\cfrac{3\sqrt{3}}{2}\) a2

Dear Student,

Given answer is correct, In regular Hexagon have 6 equilateral triangle the area of one equilateral triangle is root3 * side^s/4. If we multiply by 6* root3 * (2a)^2 /(4)= 6 root 3 a^2.
