Question:

There are three bottles of mixture of syrup and water of ratios 2 : 3, 3 : 4 and 7 : 5. 10 litres of first and 21 litres of second bottles are taken. How much quantity from third bottle is to be taken so that final mixture from three bottles will be of ratios of 1 : 1?  

Options:
A)

25 litres

B)

20 litres

C)

35 litres

D)

30 litres

Solution:

Ans: (d)

Syrup=4+9+7x=13+7x
Water=6+12+5x=18+5x
13+7x=18+5x
x=2.5
12*x=12*2.5=30 lts

Dear Student,

We fixed its solution. please read it.Hear the amount of water taken by first and second bottle are given thus we separate the quantity of syrup and water according to their ratio and take X for third bottle.
