sir/madam can u please describe in detail how to solve this question?

Question:

A cricketer whose bowling average is 24.85 runs per wicket, takes 5 wickets for 52 runs and thereby decreases his average by 0.85. The number of wickets taken by him till the last match was –

Options:
A) 96
B) 85
C) 72
D) 64

Let the total wickets be x
then total runs will be 24.85x
now,
new total is 24.85x + 52
and total wickets is x+5

also the average is decreased by .85

So, (24.85x + 52)/ (x+5)=24

thus x = 80

And since it is asked till the last date , we have to add those 5 wickets also

so answer is 80+5= 85
