A+ B = 4 AB
=> -b/a =4 c/a => b=-4c ......(1)
As a,b& c are in AP => 2b=a+c => a=-9c ...(.2)
A-B = √{(A+B)^2 - 4AB } = √[ b^2- 4ac ] /a
=> √【 16c^2 -4(-9) c }】/ -9c
=> -2√13/9

Question:

If α and β be the roots of equation ax2 + bx + c = 0 where a ≠ 0. If a, b, c are in AP and 1a+1β=4, then find the (\(\alpha\)–β).
