The average temperature of first three days in a week is 24ºC and that of the next three days is 27ºC. If the average temperature of the whole week is 26.5ºC, what is the temperature of the last day of the week?
Options:
A) 32ºC
B) 31.50ºC
C) 29ºC
D) 32.50ºC
Solution:
Ans: (d) 

Sum of temperature of first 3 days 

= 3 × 24ºC = 72ºC

Sum of temperature of next 3 days 

= 3 × 27ºC = 81ºC

Sum of temperature of whole week 

= 7 × 26.5ºC = 185.5ºC

The temperature of the last day

= (185.5ºC – 72ºC – 81ºC)

= 32.50ºC
