1st equation will be... (runs/wicket=12.4)
2nd equation will be... [(runs+26)/(wicket+5)=12.4-.4]...
solution will come 85...

Question:
A man whose bowling average is 12.4, takes 5 wickets for 26 runs and there by decreases his average by 0.4. The number of wickets taken by him before his last match is?
Options:
A) 64
B) 72
C) 80
D) 85
Solution:
Ans: (d) Let He has taken x wickets before the match.

And runs given with the average 12.4, So total run given was,

= 12.4x
Runs given including this match,

12.4x+26 with the average of 12.

Now,
(12.4x+26)/(x+5) = 12
12.4x+ 26 = 12x + 60
0.4x= 34
x = 85 wickets
