50% of a class of 120 students passed in mathematics and only 20% not passed in science. The maximum number of students who can neither passed in mathematics nor in science is?
Options:
A) 24

Solution:
Number of students not pass in maths = 50% of 120 

Number of students not pass in science = 20% of 120

Maximum number of student who can neither passed in mathematics nor in science is = 

\(\cfrac{20}{100}\) × 120

= 24.
