let, the total no of member be x
each of the x person gave rs x and x paisa
i.e each person gave rs(x+x/100)
total money received=x*(x+x/100)

therefore,
x*(x+x/100)=3636
=>x*x(1+1/100)=3636
=>x^2(101/100)=3636
=>x^2=3636*100/101
=>x^2=3600
=>x=60 ans....

Question:
Each member of a club contributes as much rupees and as much paise as the number of the members in the club. If the total contribution is Rs.3636, then the number of members of the club is –
Options:
A) 60
B) 45
C) 50
D) 70
Solution:

Ans: (a)
