Question:
1 \(\div\cfrac{3}{7}\) of \((6 + 8\times\overline{3-2}\ )+\left [ \begin{matrix}\cfrac{1}{5}\div\cfrac{7}{25}-\left ( \cfrac {3}{7}+\cfrac{8}{14} \right )\end{matrix}\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \right ]\) is equal to:
Options:
A) \(\cfrac{-5}{42}\)
B) \(\cfrac{5}{42}\)
C) \(\cfrac{42}{5}\)
D) \(\cfrac{-42}{5}\)
Solution:
Ans: (a)

1 \(\div\cfrac{3}{7} \) of (\((6 + 8 \times\overline{3-2})+ \left [ \cfrac{1}{5}\div\cfrac{7}{25}-\left ( \cfrac {3}{7}+\cfrac{8}{14} \right ) \right ]\)
= 1 \(\div\cfrac{3}{7} of (6 + 8\times1) + \left [ \cfrac{1}{5}\div\cfrac{7}{25}-\cfrac{14}{14} \right ]\)
\(=1\div\cfrac{3}{7} of (6 + 8) + \left [ \cfrac{1}{5}\times\cfrac{25}{7}-1 \right ]\)

\(=1\div\cfrac{3}{7} of\ 14 + \left [ \cfrac{5}{7}-1 \right ]\)

\(=1\div6 + \left [ \cfrac{-2}{7}\right ]\)

\(=\cfrac{1}{6}-\cfrac{2}{7} = \cfrac{7-12}{42}\)

= \(\cfrac{-5}{42}\)
